About Pi Pension Trustees
Professional independent trustees to both defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes. Delivering a bespoke service designed to meet the needs of 21st Century trusteeship.
Pi Pension Trustees was established in 2001 and is based in Wimbledon, London, SW19. Our culture seeks to celebrate positive results for our clients and to learn from experience. Our independent trustees have backgrounds as corporate directors, HR professionals, accountants, actuaries, investment consultants and lawyers. This enables us to supply the independent trustee support your pension scheme requires. All of our trustees are supported by our training programme and subject to peer review. We deliver robust governance oversight for all aspects of pension scheme management and provide specialist technical input where necessary.
Our pension trustees can also provide support to Charity and Non-Pension Trusteeships, as well as interim pension trustee appointments to trustee boards to assist with particularly challenging negotiations, corporate restructure or to manage conflicts of interest. As well as acting as Chair, or as co-trustees, we also act on a sole trustee basis to both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes.
In 2016, the Pi Partnership Group acquired a portfolio of clients from the independent trustee company Temple Trustees Ltd in the South West and in December 2018 we acquired Midlands based Fairfield Pension Trustees. These acquisitions complemented our existing Pi Pension Trustees clients, increased our geographical coverage and demonstrated our continuing commitment to the independent trustee market.
Independent Trustee Company
Pi Pension Trustees’ operations are controlled by a governance process structured within a quality control framework, and subject to independent audit as part of our AAF02/07 requirements.
This ensures we maintain the highest standards of professionalism in all our trustee appointments. At Pi Pension Trustees, we believe that a strong governance and control framework is essential to delivering the highest quality service.
This includes not just excellence in pension technical knowledge but also a practical and commercial application of such knowledge. Our previous work with the Pensions Regulator has demonstrated our ability to deal with a range of complex and unusual situations. This pragmatic application of knowledge can support both employers and trustee boards through myriad scenarios, giving them and their scheme members confidence that their pension schemes are being well managed.
Our culture seeks to celebrate positive results for our clients and to learn from experience. Our independent trustees include business people, accountants, actuaries and lawyers.
