Celebrating 25 Years of Pi Partnership

September 2025 marks a significant milestone for our company as we proudly celebrate 25 years of delivering pension services to our clients. Starting with two people in September 2000, we have grown to 60 people across several different locations. Along the way we have celebrated births, supported our colleagues through difficult times and enjoyed many, many special birthdays… with a lot of cake!

From the start Pi has had a policy of bringing people together, creating trust and an atmosphere in which everyone can thrive. We introduced flexible working over 20 years ago because we understood the demands of working with a young family, and wanted to give people the chance to have a work life balance that adapted as their needs changed.

Our commitment to a shared vision where everyone in the team should have a voice was demonstrated in 2011 by the creation of our Employee Benefit Trust so that we could become an employee-owned company. Our success is a shared achievement, and every member of our team has played a role in shaping Pi, whether they have been here for 20 years or 2 months.

Pi Partnership - 25 Year Anniversary

Our Journey to 25 Years

We haven’t always got everything right – bringing together a team based around hybrid working and embedding newer team members has proved challenging – but we have never lost sight of our ambition to create a culture built on respect and transparency, where people are valued and encouraged to share ideas in a collaborative environment.

Our Christmas parties at the Royal Ocean Racing Club have been an opportunity to celebrate with people wo have supported Pi though the years, and the sailing connection doesn’t end there. In the first few years of Pi, we held regular sailing trips for the team, clients and advisers – many of whom may well remember some “character building” days on the Solent. Let’s just say if we wanted to recreate those experiences – we’d need a significantly bigger boat!

While we take this moment to reflect on our past, we’re also looking ahead. Continuing to focus on helping our team thrive, providing challenge and support when needed, but above all else making sure that being part of the Pi family continues to mean that, when needed, we are always there to support each other.

So, thank you to every one of the Pi team, our clients and our friends within the industry who have been part of our success over the last 25 years – here’s to meeting future challenging together.
