Anne Lechley
Professional Trustee and Scheme Manager
- London
Anne brings 30 years of experience in the pensions industry, over 20 of which have been with Pi Partnership. She is an Accredited Trustee through the Association of Professional Pension Trustees and holds the Pensions Management Institute’s Certificate in DC Governance.
Prior to joining Pi, Anne worked at a leading global benefits consultancy, where she specialised in producing pension communications for scheme members. This experience continues to inform her clear, practical approach to scheme governance.
Anne supports a wide and varied client portfolio, often acting as second trustee across several of Pi’s appointments. In these roles, she plays an active part in day-to-day decision-making and provides dedicated support to lead trustees. Alongside this, she acts as Scheme Manager, serving as the key point of contact for advisers and overseeing all aspects of governance. Her work is underpinned by a strong background as a Scheme Secretary, where she previously delivered a broad range of services from minute-taking to outsourced pensions management. She also provides independent scheme secretary services to one of the UK’s major charity pension schemes.
Anne’s broad experience includes the management of ongoing schemes, facilitating entry into the Pension Protection Fund, supporting flexible apportionment arrangements, and managing buy-out transactions. She has worked across a wide variety of sectors, including banking and finance, manufacturing, and the charitable sector.
Beyond her scheme responsibilities, Anne plays a significant role in the development of Pi’s Sole Trustee governance framework. Drawing on her experience in building practical governance solutions, she has been instrumental in streamlining and centralising Pi’s internal policies in line with the General Code of Practice. This ensures a pragmatic, proportionate, and consistent approach to compliance across the trustee team. Anne has also led the advancement of Pi’s online governance platform, strengthening oversight while delivering operational efficiencies and cost savings for clients.
