Liina Kink

Scheme Secretary

With over nine years of experience in the pensions industry, Liina began her career as a Trainee Administrator before progressing to Deputy Team Leader at a large employee benefit consultancy. Her solid foundation in pension administration has been instrumental in shaping her pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to pension scheme management. This background laid the groundwork for her transition into a pension scheme secretary role, where she now provides expert governance and secretariat support to a variety of pension schemes.

Liina has worked with both large and small schemes across the DB landscape, gaining valuable insight into the complexities and nuances of scheme management. Alongside delivering high-quality secretariat services, she has also taken responsibility for overseeing administration services and managing a range of client projects. These include involvement in a significant buy-in transaction, the initial phases of GMP equalisation on a large DB scheme, and a variety of de-risking exercises as part of planned routes towards buy-out.

She is well-versed in supporting trustee boards through the implementation and ongoing delivery of the General Code of Practice, ensuring trustees maintain compliance with current governance standards. Liina also brings experience collaborating with multi-employer arrangements, where her firsthand, proactive approach to secretariat duties consistently ensures trustees are well supported within a robust governance framework.

Liina holds an MSc in Experimental Medicine, which has sharpened her analytical skills and strengthened her problem-solving abilities which are qualities that serve her exceptionally well in her role as a scheme secretary. Her combination of technical expertise, practical experience, and strong governance focus make her a trusted and dependable partner for the trustee boards she supports.
