Sandra Harvey

Professional Trustee and Scheme Manager

Sandra is an accredited Trustee with the Association of Professional Pension Trustees and has recently expanded her work to include second trustee roles, reflecting her progression from secretariat responsibilities into wider trustee positions. This progression reflects the trust that boards place in her expertise and her capacity to contribute effectively to trustee decision-making, building on her strong governance background.

With over 20 years of pensions industry experience, Sandra delivers a comprehensive range of scheme secretariat and trustee board services. Her diverse background has provided Sandra with a thorough understanding of pension scheme operations, governance and trustee support.

As a scheme secretary, Sandra has designed and implemented governance procedures tailored to the needs of each scheme. She has also played a key role in establishing and embedding risk management frameworks that enable trustees to identify, assess, and manage risks effectively. She continues to support main trustee boards and specialist committees, combining her methodical and detail-oriented approach with the use of modern governance technology to ensure efficient communication and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Academically, Sandra holds a Degree in Mathematics with Theoretical Physics, underlining the strong analytical skills that complement her practical experience. She is also an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute and has achieved both the PMI Pension Trusteeship Award and Certificate, further demonstrating her commitment to ongoing professional development.

By combining her technical expertise, trustee accreditation, and hands-on experience, Sandra is able to deliver clear value both in secretariat support and in her growing role as a trustee, making her a trusted and highly capable partner for the boards she serves.
